Round the Island Day
Prices Starting from £695 per RIB (up to 12 passengers per RIB)
Location: Ocean Village Southampton
Starting out in Ocean Village Southampton, this trip will take you on an adventure around the Isle of Wight for a fantastic day out exploring the Island. We start by heading out West towards the Needles, passing Gurnard Bay,Thorness Bay, and Newton Creek before stopping for a Coffee Break at Yarmouth. Once we have refreshed we will head out of Yarmouth and past Alum Bay, where you will see the famous Alum Bay Cliff Tops, Sand and the Cable Cars that run up the Cliffs. We then take a trip around the Needles passing Brook Bay towards St. Catherine Point.
This, and the Needles are the trickiest points in the Round the Island Race due to the shipwreck at the Needles and open water at St. Catherine's Point. The water can be very lively and so your expert Skipper will guide you through the best route. After St. Catherine's Point you will continue your journey past Ventnor Bay, Shanklin, Sandown Bay and Whitecliff Bay.
You continue on past Benbridge, St Helen's and the famous Ryde Sands, and Queen Victoria's favourite place- Osbourne Bay, where you can view Osbourne House from the Water. The final stop is at Cowes- the home of Sailing, where you will depart the boat and have a look around the town, before heading back to Southampton. Your trip will also include a stop for lunch- this will be decided on the day depending on tides and sea conditions.
The trip will last approximately 6-8 hours.
